Vaughn Engler,
Energy Engineer
LEED AP, Engineer in Training, Mechanical Engineering
BS
Vaughn works on commissioning and recommissioning projects,
combining building science, energy modeling and hands-on
experience to deliver comprehensive results to project teams.
Vaughn performed field surveys and data analysis for the
1,000,000 sf IRS and EPA Federal building recommissioning
project in Washington, DC. Vaughn is working deploying data
loggers, setting up trends and analyzing data in the State
of Colorado office buildings. Vaughn provides technical
expertise to Enermodal energy analysis and commissioning
projects. Vaughn uses building analysis software (DOE-2.2,
RESFEN) to provide design assistance for a range of building
types, including University of Wisconsin Student Union and
Maroon 5 Office building LEED energy modeling.
Austin Hermsen, Energy
Engineer
LEED AP, Engineer in Training, Mechanical Engineering BS
Austin assists with commissioning, recommissioning and energy
modeling projects for Enermodal. Austin provides trend analysis,
reporting, and data logger deployment for projects such
as recommissioning Stone Mountain Elementary School, in
Douglas County School District, commissioning Denver School
of Science and Technology and City of Denver’s Montclair
Recreation Center. Austin is also working deploying data
loggers and analyzing data in the State of Colorado office
buildings for recommissioning. Austin performs energy analysis
for using eQuest and helps inform the design process by
providing cost and savings information for a range of efficiency
options. Austin has helped design teams optimize energy
efficiency and document savings for LEED, for projects such
as the Lakewood Housing Authority’s five-building Maplewood
Apartments, the DECA Commissary, and the Crosby Hotel in
New York, NY.
