| We are looking for a
Green Building Design Engineer/Project Manager to join our new Winnipeg office. This office will
assist architects and engineers, developers and
governments in designing and construction green
buildings. We are looking for a team to bring our
successful approach to creating green buildings to
Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northern Ontario. Key
Responsibilities:
- be responsible for all phases of green building
design, construction, and certification to the LEED
Canada Green Buildign Rating System
- lead integrated design workshops and develop
innovative solutions to reduce the environmental
impact of new and existing buildings
- minimize utility costs for building owners and
operators through energy assessment of building
designs
- manage a team of junior project coordinators
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in green building design,
project management, and construction/contract
management, and LEED certification
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or
CET
- P.Eng. would be an asset
- thorough understanding of the design of building
systems
- proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- passion for green buildings and the environment
- excellent organizational skills with strong
attention to detail
- ability to work independently in a small office
environment

| Enermodal's Building
Energy Performance Group requires a Measurement & Verification
(M&V) Analyst to assist in the post-construction analysis of energy-efficient buildings. Key responsibilities:
- perform measurement and verification (M & V) activities for clients in conjunction with
energy related projects
- verify the energy performance of buildings using IPMVP methodologies
- work with mechanical and electrical design engineers to specify metering for the building
project
- work with metering and building automation contractors to ensure metering data is
consistent with M & V requirements
- Analyze the performance of a building by comparing the metered data against computer
model data. This includes calibrating the building energy model against actual conditions
and comparing the metered performance data against the calibrated computer model results.
- eevelopment and documentation of detailed M & V plans may also be required
Requirements
- degree in mechanical or electrical engineering/technology
- computer proficiency, especially with Excel, Word and AutoCad
- knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics and building systems (e.g. HVAC, Lighting)
- strong commitment to energy efficiency, customer service and a responsible work ethic
- excellent communication skills, attention to detail and familiarity with IPMVP
Highly Desired Characteristics
- minimum 2 yrs. industry/field experience
- experience with EE4, eQuest, RETScreen, HOT, and HAP or any other building energy
simulation tools
- knowledge of building automation systems and digital metering systems

We are looking for a Commissioning
Agents to join our Kitchener team. The work
will be varied and challenging and you will have plenty
of opportunities to implement your knowledge of buildings.
You will be working as part of a small team but will also
be expected to take the initiative to ensure that the needs
of our clients are met by
- providing full LEED commissioning services on energy
efficient and sustainable buildings, including design
stage reviews and advice and functional performance
testing on site
- preparation and implementation of building commissioning
plans to ensure that buildings are functioning to the
best of their ability
- working closely with Contractors, Clients, Consulting
Engineers, Architects, and their representatives to
ensure energy efficient building design and operation
This position offers a diverse mixture of on site field
testing, office based commissioning activities and meetings
with clients and project teams. We are looking for someone
with a commitment to and a passion for energy efficient
design of buildings. We need a flexible team player with
the technical, practical and personal skill set to get the
job done. We will consider different combinations of experience
and qualifications, but our ideal candidate will have the
following qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in Mechanical Design and field
review of buildings, OR
- 3+ years experience in commissioning, operating
and/or maintaining HVAC systems and DDC Control Systems
in larger buildings.
- strong theoretical and practical skills in relation
to the energy efficient and effective operation of M&E,
DDC controls and HVAC systems in commercial, institutional
or recreational buildings.
- university degree or College diploma in Mechanical
Engineering, building systems sciences or related field

| We are looking for a
Project Coordinator for the Green Buildings Division of
our Calgary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- edit and review specifications to comply with LEED certification requirements
- coordinate on-site LEED activities for a number of green building projects
- ensure that team members are aware of construction milestones
- review product information for compliance with LEED and other green building requirements
- source alternate green building products where applicable
- conduct on-site reviews for compliance with green building standards
- assemble on site information in support of LEED applications
Qualifications:
- diploma in mechanical engineering or technology diploma in construction/environmental studies or facilities management
- experience in green building design and/or construction
- excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- experience in green building construction, particularly LEED certification would be an asset
- proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD
